My first night in Beijing I stayed at a youth hostel recommended by Katie Hayes. My cab driver had a hell of a time finding it but after half an hour of negotiating tight turns down a maze of ally ways and side streets we finally found it. I arrived there at 2:00 am after traveling about 32 hours from the states. Yippee. I was tired and completely out of sorts. I can tell you that I have never been as happy to arrive at my destination as I was that night. The place was fantastic and a wonderful first impression of China.
