I wish I had something witty to say for this post but I am just too tired to think about it--and if I don't post these images now it won't happen. So, for those of you hoping for something funny you are S.O.L on this one (as if all my other post were really that funny anyway!). We visited the Forbidden Palace and Tianeman Square on June 4. For those of you in the know this was one day before the 20th anniversary of the pro-democracy uprising in which many students were killed. This is a very sensitive time here in China and we were told by no means should we bring this subject up with anybody, anywhere. In fact, we were forbidden from visiting the square on the anniversary. So, in honor of all things forbidden, here are some pics of the Forbidden Palace.
